Rachanee did an excellent job on my trial. Although I was literally an hour late and couldn't contact her because I got lost and forgot my cell phone/don't have GPS she was very nice about it. She took almost two hours to complete my trial, she took lots of time to discuss the look I wanted and was very thorough.

The studio is in her home and It was *slightly* stressful that her babysitter's kids kept banging on the window but I am not going to take off a star for that because that is how *amazing* the makeup and hair was and how sweet and professional she was. I am extremely picky about my appearance and not easily pleased so for me to be happy with this was pretty good. She did airbrush and it came with single lash application. She took the time to blow-dry my bangs nice and straight which was a special touch that many artist neglect to do She also took lots of before and after pictures of me with both her camera and mine and sent them to me pretty prompty. Her prices are on par with other artists in the area.

I am still deciding on finances because of my location but would not hesitate to highly recommend her for your makeup and hair needs.

Some suggestions for future brides: 

- bring pictures of a few looks you are going for. Research this well. I ultimately went for a completely different hair look than I originally thought I wanted. 

- Make sure you ask your artists what makeup they use beforehand. My first one had the nerve to use Mary Kay on me (ugh). Rachanee used mac, among others. 

- Definitely do airbrush even if you have nice skin. Mine is in relatively decent shape. I did a trial with and without airbrush, and it makes a huge difference. 

-Also bring your own lipstick as you may prefer that to the colors suggested. It's worth paying to get more than one trial if you are picky like I am. Considering the costs of a wedding it is really a drop in the bucket.  Rachanee was my third artist and not until I came to her did I find the exact look I was happy with. 

- Request single lash application. It looks way more natural.  If you are using the trial as your engagement pictures make sure they use an adequate amount of glue or the lashes will start to come off. Don't let the artist try to get away with no using lashes during the trial. You need to see how they look!

- Take lots of photos in different lighting if possible and wait to wash the trial makeup off for awhile to see how it holds up.

Rachanee was wonderful and extremely professional. Her and her assistants (who were also great) did make-up and hair for me and six bridesmaids in a timely fashion for my wedding. I was even late due to last-minute errands and she still got us all done an hour before the ceremony. I was initially hesitant about hiring someone to do hair and make-up because of the cost but it was definitely worth it as it made the wedding significantly less stressful. We all felt confident and received many compliments. I would recommend Art Occasions to anyone in the area who wants a group of stylists who make you look great and natural. There are other wedding vendors I used that I regret but she was not one of them.

I am a fashion/wedding photographer who likes to team up with MUA and hair stylist. Rachanee and her team is great! Rachanee is a very experienced MUA who has great concentration. 

Before every shoot, she will spend time with me for the style/concept we need to approach. She is very detail and like to be perfect with everything. I enjoy working with her as a team and I am impressed by her energy. 

Rachanee's make up work is great, as well as hair style. I will recommend her for any of my friend's wedding.

Rachanee of Art Occasions did an excellent job on my make up and hair. 
I still look like me which is very important but enhanced and simply beautiful! It was my dream bridal look. She really made me shine and brought out my aura. Rachanee is very professional and at the same time very sweet and easy to deal with. She listens to what you need and she'll just do her best to make you happy. I'm so glad I chose Art Occasions among the many vendors here in Northern CA.
Thank you so much Rachanee for sharing your talent with us and I know me and my husband will be looking at our wedding pictures for the rest of our lives and I'll definitely remember you.

Rachanee at Art Occassions is the sweetest vendor you will ever meet.  She is extremely flexible, a great value, and VERY talented.  I first did a make up and hair trial.  Definitely do the trial if you want to decide on your perfect look.  Rachanee did my hair and makeup in several ways, took photos for me, and then I was able to decide which I liked the best.  All the looks were natural and beautiful - it was difficult to choose!

On the wedding day, Rachanee came with one assistant.  They were able to do hair for 5 bridesmaids, hair and makeup for the mother of the bride and mother of the groom, and hair and makeup for the bride.  We actually were ready earlier than planned, so we girls were able to relax and drink champagne before the wedding.  Everyone was extremely happy with their hair and makeup.  One of my bridesmaids (who had recently gotten married) commented that she wished Rachanee had been there to do bridal hair at her wedding because she liked her hair so much better.

If that's not good enough, at the end of the whole, long, wedding night, with lots of dancing, all of our hair and makeup still looked fresh and perfect.  My wedding coordinator couldn't believe how great everyone looked.  We didn't need a touch up all night (besides some lip gloss after dinner).

Rachanee and her team were awesome.  She's so accommodating and such a sweetheart.  She knows how to make you look and feel beautiful.  I had so many comments that my makeup was amazing, that my natural features were beautifully enhanced.  Despite some miscommunication with the wedding coordinator on my big day, she still remained a sweetheart and calmed my nerves when I was starting to feel the bridezilla in me come out when things were going as planned.   She was one of the highlights of my wedding and I could not be happier.  She's just perfect.  I'm so happy I found her. 

My bridesmaids makeup and hair were done by her team, Nancy and Dzime, who were awesome too.  The girls looked so beautiful and glamorous.  I was just amazed at how wonderful and perfect everything turned out.  Just really happy overall.

I HIGHLY recommend Art Occasions for bridal hair and make-up, hence 5 stars! Rachanee and her team are personable and professional. I never had to worry about them and, unlike some of the diva-esque vendors we had, they were great to work with!

During the wedding reception, I couldn't believe that through all the dancing, and sweating, and drinking, my makeup and hair stayed in tact! Not just in tact, but still completely fabulouse..

I had to plan my bay area wedding from Los Angeles so had to select out of town vendors purely from recommendations on the web! It was a little nerve wracking, but it turned out so well! Rachanee met with me in my hotel just 2 days before the wedding for my trial run..

Rachanee communicated very well by email and phone to double check things like place and times before the big day. She was even a bit early that day and was fully prepared with all her equiptment and ready to go! I highly recommend her for her services, I wish there were other occasions I could come up with that I could use her again!

I am an EXTREMELY picky person and went through three trial runs with other people before I found Rachanee. I even debated doing my own makeup because I was so unhappy with the people that I had found. Rachanee immediately impressed me. She was so good with BOTH hair and makeup..
